Dr. Klaus Werner is the owner of kw tec b.v., a company active in the fields of metrology, automation and consultancy. Currently, he focuses on RF Energy market development as the RF Energy Alliance executive director. Dr. Werner was previously with NXP Semiconductors as the solid state RF Energy markets business development manager. He studied physics at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and holds a Ph.D. in Semiconductor Device Technology from Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Dr. Werner started his professional career as a process engineer at Philips Semiconductors. Prior to his assignment in the RF power device business, he worked in several engineering and operational management functions.

He has extensive experience in this industry, including 25 years at Rogers, where he has held various roles in Engineering and Marketing. With a B.S. in Electrical and Communications Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico) and an M.S.E. in Electromagnetics from Arizona State University, he has been involved in identifying market trends that have led to the development of new materials aimed at addressing the emerging needs in the RF and microwave industry.

Marcus Frank is the team leader for cooking appliance system development at E.G.O. - Group. He focuses on the interaction between heating and control components to create efficient functionality and optimal results. Marcus started as a mechanical engineer in a pre-development department, focusing on new technologies that make cooking easier. He took over responsibility for E.G.O.`s solid state cooking development after completing his master’s degree in Innovation and Technology Management.

Hannes Grubinger is responsible for the industrial applications market within the radio frequency market management of HUBER+SUHNER. He holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. Before joining HUBER+SUHNER in 2013, Dr. Grubinger worked in development with an emphasis on radio frequency technology, specifically on antennas, passive components, resonators, oscillators and low-noise systems.
